Gladys Barker and Mavis Pedley worked for many years at Sissons as cleaners and canteen staff. They explain how they got their jobs in the first place, both as temporary cover. We find out about working conditions in Calver Mill, including the attitudes of some other employees to them at Christmas parties. Gladys also describes an unexpected journey in the Rolls Royce of Gordon Sissons, the owner of the company.
