Cost of Project and Funding

The cost of the project and funding by the HLF and CWRP through volunteer labour and non-cash contributions is:-

	Under a stage 1 pass the HLF have earmarked	1.244
	Non-cash and volunteer labour pledged	0.170
	Total	1.414

	BALANCE TO BE FUNDED BY DONATIONS	0.235

The balance to be funded by donations, so called match funding, of £235,000 has to be in place or pledged by March 2009, when the final application is made to the HLF, otherwise the grant could be jeopardised.

In November 2008 it is estimated that donations and pledges have reached circa £65,000. However, the credit crunch, reduced availability of money and the threat of recession have severely affected fund raising completion of the project in the envisaged timescale.
